New cookbook is a recipe for success for cancer service

Our pioneering programme to help people with cancer has produced a recipe to help patients improve their health and fitness.

We are grateful to have received contributions of the recipes from outstanding chefs across the country. A Collection of Recipes – is not just a collection of delicious food, but they are nutritious meals to help the body’s natural healing.

Clinical Director Dr. Tara Rampal said: “As part of our nutritional support, we help patients with devising a high-protein diet that helps the body repair after the debilitating effects of cancer treatments”.

“Many people experience a huge loss in appetite and are struggling to find delicious high-protein recipes. As a result, we’ve put together a selection of recipes, which meet both the medical criteria and are also mouth-wateringly delicious.”

The booklet was launched by Rt Hon Tracey Crouch, our Patron along with our steadfast supporter Mr. James Williams Director of Public Health at the wonderfully cosy The Swan Brasserie in the presence of representatives from Cancer Nurse Specialist, Integrated Care Board, Oncologists, Patients, and Cancer Alliance representatives. The booklet is free for all our patients, downloadable from our app Craetus.

Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group has also covered the event here.
